The Role
The Corporate Controller is a proven professional responsible for the core operational aspects of accounting and controls. This includes developing talent, balancing capabilities, costs, and service levels, and working effectively cross-functionally in a rapidly changing and growing environment. The Corporate Controller collaborates cross-functionally with the broader organization and leads the Company's accounting team, which includes responsibility for the record-to-report close cycle, compliance and financial reporting controls, accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), payroll, travel & entertainment (T&E), and special initiatives. This position will identify and develop leading practices guidance and drive consistency and efficiencies across the team. Success in this role is dependent on leadership, organization and people development, process improvement, strategic execution, the ability to deal with a rapidly changing business environment, and communication. This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Key Accountabilities:
- Lead, develop, and improve the close processes for a fast-paced, rapidly growing SaaS company.
- Establish and maintain accounting policies, leading practices, and procedures to ensure US GAAP compliance at scale and high accounting quality.
- Drive the scale of financial transaction teams, including payroll, T&E, AR, and AP, and ensure income tax compliance, as applicable.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close and reporting efforts.
- Oversee all accounting integration and valuation for mergers & acquisitions.
- Work closely with the financial planning and analysis team on reporting efforts and monthly accruals related to budgeting and forecasting.
- Oversee and optimize internal controls.
- Oversee the audit process by external independent auditors.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or accounting; CPA is a plus.
- 15 years of experience in public accounting and software industry experience.
- SaaS company background.
- Thorough and current knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
- Experience with the review and preparation of financial statements; corporate, payroll, and franchise tax filings and requirements.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process in a setting requiring consolidations, multiple subsidiaries, including international.
- Experience with NetSuite or equivalent ERP systems.
- Experience in developing internal controls and driving the implementation of policies and procedures.
- Experience managing and developing staff.
- Ability to deliver on responsibilities within a highly collaborative environment.
- Solves problems even where data is insufficient by directing the team/others to get data and insights.
- Prior experience with M&A and post-integration.
- Highly motivated, results-driven individual with a strong work ethic and attention to detail/accuracy.
- High integrity individual who embraces transparency, collaboration, and teamwork.
- Advanced interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively work cross-functionally with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

- Experience in fast-paced environments is preferred – able to work comfortably under pressure, in a frequently changing landscape, and with tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
- Ability to balance multiple projects.

Base Salary Range: $180,000 - $200,000 USD
