Advance your career on a high-performing Agile team supporting the modernization of mission-critical supervisory systems for a federal agency. You'll take ownership of requirements analysis, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, user-centric digital solutions.
This position is located in our Lafayette, Louisiana or Knoxville, TN office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your Future Duties and Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements for enterprise systems and software.
- Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, developers, and UX/UI teams to translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
- Lead or support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
- Conduct gap analysis, process mapping, and workflow optimization to improve business processes and system functionality.
- Facilitate requirements workshops, interviews, and user feedback sessions.
- Develop and maintain business analysis artifacts (e.g., user stories, process diagrams, requirements traceability matrices).
- Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), defect triage, and validation of delivered solutions.
- Ensure solutions comply with federal standards (e.g., Section 508 accessibility, security, and privacy requirements).
- Support change management, training, and documentation efforts.
- Communicate findings, recommendations, and status to technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of experience as a business analyst or similar role in software/system environments.
- Experience eliciting and documenting requirements for web applications or enterprise systems.
- Proficiency with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process mapping skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience collaborating in cross-functional Agile teams.
- Eligibility for federal background investigation and compliance with security requirements (U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency with 3 years residency).
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale applications in regulated or federal environments.
- Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility, security, and privacy requirements.
- Experience with user acceptance testing (UAT) and quality assurance.
- Certifications in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile BA).
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior analysts.
Compensation and Benefits
A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $56,600.00 - $139,300.00.
