Tax Credit Compliance Assistant (LATAM)

Location: Remote -- Independent Contractor Compensation: $5.00 USD/hour

This is an independent contractor engagement. The selected candidate will be engaged as an independent contractor and not as an employee of Chapman Management Group.

Chapman Management Group (CMG), a Washington, DC-based boutique property management firm specializing in affordable and multifamily housing across the DC, Virginia, and Maryland region, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented LATAM Compliance Support Admin to provide remote administrative and operational support for our affordable housing portfolio. In this role, you will play a critical part in keeping maintenance operations running smoothly, supporting property managers, and ensuring residents receive timely and professional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review Application files for completion and send corrections to site teams
  • Track and update file review log daily
  • Upload completed & approved files to PMS system
  • Compile & Review recertification files for completion and send corrections to site teams
  • Update Procorem monthly (Virginia Properties only)
  • Compile monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
  • Process application screening
  • Send documents for electronic signature
  • Assist with Utility Analysis and Annual rent increases
  • Update Building Occupancy and Vacancy reports with DHCD
  • Must have an understanding of Affordable Housing (LIHTC, HOME, HUD)

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) --- required.
  • Must have an understanding of affordable housing programs, including LIHTC, HOME, and HUD.
  • Tax Credit Specialist (TCS) certification highly preferred; if not held, must be completed within the first 3 months of onboarding.
  • Prior experience in affordable housing compliance or property management administration preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in file review and data entry.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with property management software (Entrata or similar) preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic signature platforms and document management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written communication skills for coordinating corrections and correspondence with site teams.
