The Role

This hybrid role combines two core responsibilities: Shipping great technical content and Building the AI content engine that makes content generation repeatable at scale.

You will join a small, high-agency team at the intersection of product, engineering, and go-to-market. You will treat content like an engineering discipline, using systems, agents, and tooling to increase throughput while maintaining technical accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write and publish high-quality narratives explaining Vercel's AI Cloud, platform capabilities, and developer workflows.
  • Create repeatable, tech-enabled pipelines for drafting, technical review, publishing, and updates.
  • Build agents and workflows to support the content development process using code-first LLM tools.
  • Act as "customer zero" to pressure test features, SDKs, docs, and examples for accuracy and clarity.
  • Review and refine content and code examples for technical accuracy.
  • Track content performance (both human and AI model engagement) and iterate based on data.
  • Manage context windows, build knowledge layers for retrieval, and implement structured outlines.

Technical Stack & Tools

  • Code-first LLM tools (e.g., Claude Code)
  • TypeScript
  • Next.js
  • Vercel Platform
  • Custom agent and workflow automation

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience as a Technical Writer, Developer Experience (DX) Advocate, or similar role.
  • Proven track record of high-impact long-form technical writing.
  • Hands-on web development experience with the ability to reason about real-world tradeoffs.
  • Proficiency with modern frontend tools (TypeScript, Next.js, Vercel).
  • Ability to collaborate deeply with engineers and earn trust through technical accuracy.
  • Experience building systems or eagerness to develop AI-driven content workflows.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $168,000 - $231,000 (Base range for San Francisco; adjusted for location).
  • Comprehensive equity and competitive compensation package.
  • Inclusive Healthcare Package.
  • Flexible Time Off.
  • Equipment provided (laptop, gear) and a WFH setup budget.
  • Professional development and mentorship opportunities.

How to Apply

Required: Submit one content sample (blog post or long-form content) demonstrating your ability to excel in technical writing and system building. Applications without this sample will not be considered.

Note on Commuting: If based within commuting distance of SF, NY, London, or Berlin, the role includes in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Otherwise, the role is fully remote.
