We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Business Development to drive MES Technologies' growth within the U.S. defense market. This executive role will focus on expanding relationships with DoD agencies, military primes, and strategic partners while leading high-value sales initiatives for aerospace components, monitoring systems, fasteners, and harsh-environment technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead MES Technologies' business growth within the U.S. defense and DoD market
- Develop strategic relationships with DoD agencies, military primes, and industry partners
- Drive sales for aerospace components, monitoring systems, fasteners, and harsh-environment technologies
- Identify and manage high-value defense opportunities and sales pipeline
- Oversee RFI/RFP responses, proposal strategy, negotiations, and contract awards
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and leadership teams to deliver customized solutions
- Mentor and lead business development/sales teams to achieve revenue targets
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and federal contracting regulations (FAR/DFARS)
- Lead strategic partnerships, growth initiatives, and potential M&A opportunities
Requirements
- 10 years of defense-sector business development leadership experience
- Proven success closing multi-million-dollar DoD or military prime contracts
- Strong network within agencies such as the Navy, Air Force, and defense primes like Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman
- U.S. citizenship required; active security clearance preferred
- Experience with CRM platforms like Salesforce preferred
