We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join a high-technical-level team, focusing on the development, evolution, and operation of backend solutions within a complex and demanding fintech environment. This position requires someone with real-world experience in distributed architectures, a strong technical foundation, good judgment for working on production systems, and an openness to incorporating AI into their daily work.

What You Can Expect from This Role (Responsibilities)

This is a technically demanding role with a strong focus on autonomy and execution capability. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and operating backend solutions in Java on microservices architectures, integrating messaging, asynchronous communication, best practices for resilience, AWS, NoSQL, and AI in a highly complex fintech environment.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience working with Java
• Experience in deploying, monitoring, and operating applications in production environments
• Solid experience with microservices, idempotency, circuit breaker, retries, and CQRS
• Experience with messaging and asynchronous communication between applications, ideally with Kafka and handling partition keys
• Experience working with NoSQL technologies
• Knowledge and experience with AWS
• Experience in fintech business processes
• Experience and openness to incorporating AI into daily tasks
• Completed university degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent fields
• Fluent conversational English level
• Residency in Argentina or Uruguay

Desirable

• Knowledge of Golang
• Clear understanding of the difference between queue and topic
• Ability to read and interpret explain results
