Job description

Job Summary

This is a 100% remote, 5+ year contract position for a Business Analyst. The pay rate is $50-$53 per hour. The analyst must be able to work PST hours.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements
  • Gather and document stakeholder needs
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project delivery
  • Track project progress and ensure alignment with business goals
  • Perform data analysis, create reports and dashboards
  • Identify process improvement opportunities
  • Participate in meetings
  • Manage documentation
  • Assist with testing, validation, and user acceptance

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years recent experience applying analytical processes on IT projects
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in business systems analysis and design
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent experience soliciting and documenting business and technical requirements for projects of similar scope and technical complexity
  • Bachelor's degree

Bonus Skills

  • Recent experience applying analytical processes working on large IT projects for law enforcement
  • Business analysis experience for PAL Stages 2, 3, and 4 for a State of California project leading to CDT
  • Current PMI International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) certification
