Role Description

The Division of Enterprise Applications (DEA) is seeking an experienced consultant with expertise in SAP S/4 HANA, specifically within Public Sector Finance and Treasury modules, to support implementation, optimization, and operational readiness initiatives. The consultant will provide strategic guidance, process documentation, functional expertise, testing leadership, and knowledge transfer.

Responsibilities

  • Administration of SAP FI and Treasury functionality, including ancillary applications.
  • Process design, development, testing, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise-wide software.
  • Developing current-state and future-state process documentation.
  • Providing best-practice recommendations for public sector financial and treasury operations.
  • Collaborating with analysts, designers, and system owners in testing SAP software.
  • Providing SAP Finance and Treasury support, including analysis, development, testing, tracking, and resolution.
  • Mentoring less experienced team members on SAP programming concepts.
  • Assisting with upgrades, support packs, and the development of test plans.
  • Identifying impacts from ECC to S/4 HANA changes related to Finance and Treasury.
  • Providing after-hours support for the SAP system as needed.

Required Skills

  • 7+ years of experience with SAP Finance or Treasury/Cash Management.
  • 3+ years of experience with SAP S/4 HANA.
  • 7+ years of experience with ECC FI module.
  • 10+ years of experience with practical SAP upgrades, OSS notes, support packs, and troubleshooting.
  • 10+ years of experience with SAP within the Public Sector.
  • 7+ years of experience in budgeting, appropriations, grants, and governmental accounting.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with full-lifecycle SAP implementations.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, Visio, Project).
