Job Description
The State of South Carolina has implemented SAP modules FI, MM, HR, Payroll, SRM, CRM, and Treasury Management across all state agencies. The South Carolina State Treasurers Office (STO) plans to retire legacy systems and optimize SAP's Treasury Management and Investment modules, including an S/4HANA platform upgrade. DEA seeks a SAP Functional Consultant with extensive experience in:
- Developing business requirements
- Configuring SAP treasury functionality
- Developing test cases/scenarios
- Developing training materials
- Providing training
- Implementing SAP Treasury modules (investment and/or debt functionality)
The Consultant will collaborate with Business Functional Leads, SCEIS Teams, and Stakeholders to develop functional design specifications aligning with technical and business requirements. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing business blueprints
- Configuring SAP treasury functionality
- Creating requirements documents, test cases/scenarios, and training materials
- Assisting in the design of reports and dashboards
- Defining data extraction from SAP for reporting
- Developing interfaces with brokers, banks, and financial service providers (desired)
- Coordinating with SAP consultants, SC Office of Information Technology Services (OTIS), and SC Enterprise Information System (SCEIS) to ensure best practices and standards compliance.
Daily Duties / Responsibilities:
- Provide SAP functional expertise to the SAP SCEIS Team.
- Translate business activities into requirements through user interaction (interviews, meetings, etc.).
- Create and present prototypes to users for investment functionality implementation.
- Collaborate with business and technical personnel to gain agreement on designs/requirements.
- Create and obtain approval for functional design specification documents.
- Configure SAP functionality in coordination with STO and SCEIS Team.
- Support development and testing of custom development activities with the Development Team.
- Define technical requirements for test environments with STO's IT Division, SC Division of Technology Operations, and SCEIS.
- Conduct testing and manage change transmission to production with ABAP and BASIS Teams, and project managers at SCEIS and STO.

- Skills: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Implementing SAP Technical Knowledge, Business Knowledge.
