Job description

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an Email Marketing Coordinator to support a growing CRM and marketing analytics function following a recent organizational merger. This is an entry-level contract role on a small but high-impact team responsible for patient communications and operational messaging.

  • Location: Mostly remote; occasional in-person meetings in Chicago
  • Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week (may flex up or down)
  • Duration: 7-8 months to start, with potential for extension and/or conversion

Key Responsibilities

  • Email Production: Build, test, and deploy email campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar platforms (Mailchimp, HubSpot, Constant Contact, etc.)
  • Content Assembly: Partner with the content team (copy is provided) to assemble emails, apply templates, and ensure accuracy
  • Intake Management: Support the team intake workflow for new email and communication requests
  • Preferences and Opt-Outs: Maintain email opt-outs and manage preference center updates
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, operations, and other teams to ensure timely and accurate communications
  • Quality Assurance: Test emails across devices, validate links, and ensure compliance with internal standards
  • Platform and Process Improvement: Stay curious about new tools, features, and emerging technologies in marketing automation and AI

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or another email platform (Mailchimp, HubSpot, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working within structured processes
  • Interest in marketing technology, automation, and evolving tools (including AI)
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and manage shifting priorities
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in CRM and digital communications
