Job Summary

Our SaaS client is seeking a remote People Operations Coordinator for a 6-month fixed-term contract. Candidates must be located on the East Coast.

This role supports the People team with a focus on tooling, employee data, and compliance. You will collaborate with various departments including Payroll, Legal, IT, Internal Tools, and People Partners to enhance internal experiences and ensure data accuracy for reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Background Check Management

  • Follow up on pending checks
  • Verify completion status
  • Maintain recruiting partner relationships
  • Escalate delays

Contingent Worker Onboarding

  • Collect required information
  • Initiate background checks
  • Send welcome communications
  • Coordinate start dates with managers

Offboarding & Transitions

  • Manage contingent worker departures
  • Verify contract status
  • Update systems
  • Initiate workflows

Conversions & Status Changes

  • Process full-time to part-time conversions
  • Process contractor modifications
  • Handle vendor communications

Internal Operations

  • Manage internal hires
  • Perform HRIS updates

Administrative Support

  • Assist with ticket management
  • Maintain documentation

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of professional experience
  • Startup experience strongly preferred; must be adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Experience in high-growth organizations
  • Extreme attention to detail; precision is critical
  • Ability to work quickly with high accuracy
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and data sets
  • Process improvement mindset
  • AI-focused mindset, with an interest in automation and technology
  • Organized and detail-oriented with excellent professional judgment
  • Experience managing time-sensitive processes related to compensation, performance, and compliance
  • Ability to handle employee data with utmost care, ensuring accuracy and privacy
