About the Role
You have already tested your limits—whether in athletics, the arts, or business. Now you are ready to channel that excellence into meaningful impact. As an academic advisor at GT Anywhere, you will mentor students to accomplish the extraordinary: embrace learning, accelerate their progress, and become confident, independent thinkers. You will do this from any location worldwide.
GT Anywhere is a virtual school designed for gifted students prepared to advance quickly. We combine AI-driven academics with personalized coaching to provide what conventional schooling cannot: unlimited learning speed, rigorous study in the sciences and humanities, and a network of intellectually matched peers. In this role as an Academic Advisor, you will support 3rd–8th grade students eager to move faster. You will not be delivering content—our technology manages that. You are the coach who cultivates confidence, maintains high standards, and helps students uncover their potential. Each session is significant. Each milestone matters.
If you have ever driven yourself to elite achievement—in sports, performance, research, or entrepreneurship—and you want to empower the next generation to do likewise, this position is for you.
What You Will Be Doing
- Conducting biweekly 1:1 virtual coaching sessions with each student, emphasizing academic goal-setting, drive, and mindset development
- Hosting open "office hours" where students can drop in for immediate support, encouragement, or problem-solving
- Leveraging AI tools and dashboards to monitor student progress, detect obstacles, and refine your coaching strategies
- Recording insights, alerts, and strategic updates to keep each student on an accelerated growth path
- Working with your team to exchange strategies, escalate issues, and continuously refine the coaching framework
What You Won't Be Doing
- Teaching lessons, grading assessments, or assigning homework—our technology manages the academics
- Presenting lectures or adhering to a prescribed curriculum
- Babysitting or micromanaging unmotivated students—we coach, we do not hover
- Attending unnecessary meetings or navigating bureaucracy
- Coasting—this team is designed for individuals committed to performing at a high level and creating real impact
Academic Coach Key Responsibilities

- Comfortable working with dashboards and technology tools to monitor and adjust performance
- Ability to maintain at least 80 percent overlap with US business hours
Nice-to-have Requirements
