Work model
About the Role
You have established operational excellence through superior execution. You understand facility operations, know how to address breakdowns, and maintain standards with personal accountability. This position demands something more challenging.
You will manage a leadership team of VPs accountable for 35+ premium campuses. Not through direct execution, but through system design, quality benchmarks, and developing leaders who implement them. Your success is measured not by personal output, but by whether the team achieves green status across every location without requiring your intervention.
The blueprint has yet to be created. You'll architect AI-powered dashboards that identify issues before VPs search for them, frameworks that enforce quality standards without continuous oversight, and accountability models that enable VPs to manage 7+ campuses each without missing critical details. Success is evident when escalations cease, audits pass cleanly, and operations continue seamlessly in your absence.
The trajectory is defined. Year one is construction: dashboards, playbooks, vendor tracking systems, and quality standards built from the ground up. After systems are operational and VPs function autonomously, the focus transitions to portfolio-level CapEx strategy, succession planning, and optimization initiatives that elevate performance across all 35+ campuses simultaneously.
If you're prepared to lead the team that maintains premium standards across an expanding campus portfolio at scale, apply now.
What You Will Be Doing
- Managing, developing, and leading a team of VPs, each responsible for sustain operations across 7+ campuses (standard) or 3+ campuses (large sites), supported by defined performance metrics and consistent coaching
- Building AI-powered operational infrastructure (predictive maintenance dashboards, vendor tracking systems, and portfolio-wide playbooks) that allow VPs to operate their portfolios without escalating to you
- Establishing quantifiable quality standards and SLAs across all facility metrics, then executing regular portfolio audits to enforce compliance and resolve gaps before they impact students or staff
- Executing portfolio-level resource decisions: VP assignments, vendor strategy, and CapEx prioritization in collaboration with business and finance partners
- Detecting and addressing VP performance challenges early using data-driven assessments and coaching, cultivating a team that achieves green status independently
What You Won't Be Doing
- Operating campuses directly: Your VPs manage ground-level execution; your responsibility is the systems and the team that produce results
- Serving as the escalation default for every issue: Properly designed systems and empowered VPs remove the "ask the SVP" dependency that drains leaders at your level
- Addressing problems one location at a time: Every framework, quality standard, and solution you create applies across all 35+ sites, not isolated cases
- Limiting your influence to a few locations: Every system, standard, and accountability structure you establish scales across 35+ campuses immediately
- Creating solutions repeatedly from zero: After playbooks are established, VPs execute them; you refine based on portfolio-wide insights, not individual site emergencies
