Requirements

Must have:

  • Expert-level, verifiable Flutter experience with production apps published on both the App Store and Google Play.
  • Expert-level, verifiable Laravel experience with production backend and API development.
  • Expert-level, verifiable MySQL experience, including database design, querying, and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience integrating AI and LLM services, with OpenAI preferred.
  • Must currently reside in the United States and provide a verifiable U.S. home address.
  • At least 5 years of professional software development experience; this is not a junior-level opportunity.
  • Proven remote or work-from-home background that can be verified.
  • Professional references that we can contact.
  • Must pass a thorough live technical interview, as well as phone and in-person interviews.

Preferred experience:

  • Ubuntu/Linux server administration.
  • AWS.
  • Healthcare or EMS software.
  • Prior ownership as a solo or lead developer on a product.

Responsibilities

  • Build and support our Flutter mobile app for iOS and Android.
  • Develop and maintain our Laravel backend and MySQL database.
  • Integrate AI and LLM capabilities into the product, including services such as OpenAI.
  • Own features from concept through design, development, testing, release, and ongoing support.
  • Work independently while maintaining clear, respectful communication with our non-developer founder.
  • Begin the relationship with an immediate contract engagement and, after proving abilities, transition into a permanent full-time role.

This is a fully remote role within the U.S., starting as a contract engagement with the opportunity to move into a full-time W2 position. We offer a benefits package that includes 401(k), flexible scheduling, paid time off, retirement plan, and tuition reimbursement, with pay ranging from $20.00 to $50.00 per hour depending on experience. We also offer visa sponsorship for qualified candidates.
