Location: Remote Job Type: Contract | 3 month project Compensation: $36.06-40.87/hr Industry: Insurance

Marketing and Digital Communications Specialist

The Marketing and Digital Communications Specialist supports multiple business lines by coordinating marketing initiatives, managing creative and digital projects, and ensuring consistent execution across print, digital, email, and sales-enablement channels. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders, creative teams, and digital marketing professionals to deliver timely, high-quality marketing solutions that elevate brand presence and business outcomes.

Position Overview

Under management direction, the Marketing and Digital Communications Specialist develops, executes, and tracks marketing and communication initiatives across assigned business lines. This role acts as a liaison between business leaders, digital teams, and creative resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with brand standards. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, detail-oriented marketer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing creative work with structured project coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Marketing & Email Communications

  • Support digital marketing initiatives, including social media and email marketing campaign execution and content development
  • Create, manage, and schedule social media content using Sprout Social
  • Draft and execute daily email marketing campaigns

Content Creation & Graphic Design

  • Write copy and develop content for email campaigns, social media, presentations, sales enablement and marketing materials
  • Create and update marketing collateral such as brochures, one-sheets, advertisements, and PowerPoint presentations
  • Support graphic design needs using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign for social graphics, printed collateral, and sales materials
  • Assist with building visually compelling sales enablement decks and executive presentations

Communications & Brand Support

  • Collaborate with corporate marketing to ensure consistent application of brand standards and style guides
  • Provide creative recommendations to influence content strategy and messaging
  • Support internal communications and stakeholder messaging needs
  • Maintain organized marketing asset libraries and collateral inventory

Event & Conference Support

  • Coordinate materials, logistics, and deliverables for business events and client conferences
  • Provide project support for the Risk Management Conference (May 4) and other key events

Collaboration & Service

  • Work closely with business leaders, client teams, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Resolve issues associated with advertising, production timing, and vendor coordination
  • Deliver high-quality service with professionalism in all interactions

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Communication Arts, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of experience in copywriting, including writing articles/educational blogs and email journey/nurture campaigns
  • Strong creative and design skills, including image creation, layout, typography, and color theory
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Strong Excel skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint
  • Experience with social media tools (Sprout Social preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills---including email and task management---under tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead projects from concept to completion and follow brand and stakeholder direction
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
  • Solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills

Preferred

  • Experience in professional services, insurance, financial services, or other regulated industries
  • Experience with marketing automation, CRM, or digital asset management systems
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Sprout Social, and Eloqua email marketing tools
  • Experience in budgeting, expense management, and vendor coordination
  • Strong communicator with excellent copywriting and editing skills
  • Highly collaborative and team-oriented
  • Calm and composed
  • Adaptable, quick learner, and ability to work autonomously
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
