About the Role

The Cell Health and Centrifuge Sales Consultant is responsible for tailoring cell health and centrifugation solutions to help our customers achieve their research goals across a wide range of applications and groundbreaking research. This position reports to the West Coast US and Canada Cell Health and Centrifugation Regional Manager and is part of Beckman Coulter's best-in-class commercial organization. This is a fully remote role covering the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Annually submit and implement a detailed sales plan identifying: sales objectives, sales opportunities, major customers, and regional shows to be attended during the fiscal year and perform all sales activity within an assigned geographic territory.
  • Participate in sales activities including: customer site visits, telephone contacts, trade seminars and shows, product demonstrations, customer seminars and channel management. Coordinate distributor training activities to achieve corporate objectives.
  • Submit monthly forecasts and maintain timely and accurate funnel details.
  • Assist in maintaining a mail list for customers in the assigned territory.
  • Collect and report information on all competitive activity within the assigned territory on company CRM SalesForce.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 2+ years of experience.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with a solid understanding of tactical sales skills (prospecting, qualifying, closing, and growing existing customers) strongly preferred.
  • Highly motivated and success-driven with a demonstrated track record of success, ideally in a Life Science and/or Academic sales or other Technical/Capital equipment sales area.
  • Excellent time and territory management habits, with strong interpersonal skills and a team-player attitude. Experience working with distribution channels is preferred.
  • Experience with personal computer, e-mail, and Microsoft Office programs, as well as CRM, SFDC preferred.

Travel and Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel: 30% travel, overnight within your territory or other locations.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • The work environment is field sales-based with a home office.
  • Field sales activity involves visiting customer locations and requires moderate physical activity (e.g., lifting/carrying of materials).

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary range: $95,000 – $105,000.
  • Total target compensation (Base + Sales Incentive Compensation): $184,900 – $194,900 annually.
