The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U.S. House of Representatives. We look for talented and hard-working professionals who are committed to electing Democrats and winning the House majority.

Note: Due to the cyclic nature of our organization, all positions are subject to separation at the end of the election cycle.

Position Summary

This role is vital to the Communications Department. The main objective is to monitor the news of our House battlefield, help maintain a cohesive workflow, and proactively keep tasks in motion. Daily duties consist of compiling daily press clips, flagging up-to-the-minute news, managing press release approvals, conducting research, maintaining press lists, and making press calls.

This position is part of a collective bargaining unit.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Communications Director, Deputy Communications Director, and Regional Press Secretaries in day-to-day operations, particularly regarding Regional Pods.
  • Perform daily communications functions, including media monitoring, drafting press materials, and identifying news opportunities.
  • Provide key administrative and organizational support on various tasks and special events.
  • Other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Precise writing skills and the drive to learn quickly.
  • Excellent organizational and scheduling skills.
  • Experience with media monitoring and compiling press clips.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Commitment to the election of Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives.
  • Familiarity with political communications and prior campaign experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Superior time management, attention to detail, and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Proactively fosters an inclusive atmosphere and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Ability to demonstrate multicultural competence.
