DevSecOps Engineer (Survivor Portal) - Remote (USA)

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support a secure, cloud-based application for survivors and family members of fallen service members. This remote role, open to candidates in the USA, focuses on providing Tier 3 technical support, implementing CI/CD processes, and ensuring system reliability and cybersecurity compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 3 operational and troubleshooting support for production, test, and development environments.
  • Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines, integrating automated builds, testing, and security scans into deployment workflows.
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation for secure and scalable provisioning within AWS GovCloud IL4/IL5 environments.
  • Manage containerized deployments and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring consistent configuration and performance across environments.
  • Monitor system performance, application health, and security posture using tools such as AWS CloudWatch, ELK Stack, and Prometheus.
  • Support incident response and root cause analysis, ensuring timely resolution of operational issues.
  • Apply patches, updates, and vulnerability mitigations in alignment with DoD cybersecurity and RMF standards.
  • Collaborate with software developers to integrate DevSecOps automation into Agile sprint cycles.
  • Ensure compliance with DISA STIGs, DoD IA controls, and Zero Trust security principles.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and configuration baselines for system sustainment.
  • Support data backup and recovery processes, and validate operational continuity plans.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Must hold an active Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in DevSecOps, system administration, or cloud infrastructure engineering.
  • Experience supporting secure, cloud-based applications in federal or defense environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, monitor, and optimize CI/CD and containerized systems.
  • Proficiency in AWS GovCloud, Linux, and containerized deployments.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline).
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible).
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and automated build pipelines.
  • Understanding of DoD cybersecurity requirements, RMF, and DISA STIG implementation.
  • Experience with system monitoring, log aggregation, and performance tuning.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in cloud and containerized environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical teams.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver within Agile timelines.
  • Focused on automation, reliability, and continuous improvement.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CompTIA Security+ CE, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Docker Certified Associate (DCA) are highly desirable.
