What You'll Do

As a Manager on the Tax Technology Consulting team, you'll be instrumental in delivering integrated technology solutions for enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and tax applications. Your responsibilities will include:

Client Management

  • Manage day-to-day interactions with executive clients and sponsors.

Delivery

  • Manage and deliver components of SAP or indirect tax engine client engagements and teams.

Solutions

  • Identify, design, and implement innovative technology solutions to address tax needs.

Cross-Functional Teaming

  • Understand and articulate the broader Tax Technology Consulting (TTC) practice and Deloitte's overall offerings.
  • Maintain relationships and serve clients holistically.

People Development

  • Act as a counselor and coach.
  • Participate in staffing and retention activities.

Business Development

  • Develop and maintain contacts.
  • Organize and lead pursuit teams.
  • Contribute to business development efforts.

Deloitte Tax LLP's Tax Technology Consulting (TTC) practice empowers tax departments to become streamlined, transparent, and efficient. We enhance compliance, reporting, and planning, positioning tax as a strategic advisor in the digital era. Specializing in tax technology, we address corporate tax functions' unique needs across direct and indirect taxes. Our large, multidisciplinary team combines tax technical and technology expertise to help clients with successful ERP implementations.

Our TTC professionals leverage a global network to support client objectives and challenges. We offer services including operating model evaluation, roadmap development, data management, automation, tax portals, cloud solutions for enterprise systems, agile resourcing, risk management, provision, and compliance.

Qualifications

Required

  • Ability to work in a hybrid model, requiring 2-3 days per week in the office.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% on average.
  • 5+ years of experience implementing SAP tax-related solutions, including direct tax (corporate income tax, operational transfer pricing, state income taxation) and indirect (transaction tax) solutions using native SAP functionality, ONESOURCE Indirect Determination, Vertex, Avalara, or Sovos (Taxware).
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • One of the following active accreditations:
    • Licensed CPA in your state of practice/primary office (if eligible to sit for the CPA).
    • If not CPA eligible: Licensed Attorney (or foreign equivalent), Enrolled Agent, or Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Relevant technical certifications such as:
    • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
    • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
    • Professional Scrum Developer™ (PSD)
    • Certified Scrum Developer (CSD)
    • Microsoft Azure
    • Microsoft MCSD Certification (including Web Applications, SharePoint, Application Lifecycle Management Solutions Developer)
    • Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) -(ISC)2
    • Oracle Certified Professional
    • Alteryx Designer- Advanced Certification
    • Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt)
    • Vendor certification for implementation management (Oracle, SAP, Thomson Reuters, etc.) or relevant industry certifications like Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), AWS, or GCP.

Preferred

  • Experience with a Big 4 firm, a large ERP/consulting organization, or the IT department of a multinational company with tax-related experience.

Compensation and Benefits

The wage range for this role is estimated between $108,430 and $246,870. This range considers various factors including skills, experience, licensure, and business needs. It does not include geographic differentials. Compensation decisions are made on a case-by-case basis.

You may also be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program based on individual and organizational performance.
