About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst specializing in Product and Benefits to join our team on a contractual basis. This role is integral to supporting a large-scale healthcare system transformation initiative, focusing on ensuring that product and benefit requirements are accurately captured, documented, and aligned with project goals. The successful candidate will work closely with Product Development leadership and cross-functional teams to facilitate seamless communication and effective implementation of healthcare products and benefits.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in healthcare payer environments, demonstrate excellent requirements management skills, and thrive in fast-paced, complex project settings. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactful healthcare projects while working remotely within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have at least five years of experience working within managed care or the healthcare payer industry. A comprehensive understanding of healthcare product benefits and the associated requirements is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft 365 suite, including SharePoint and Teams, is required to facilitate effective documentation and communication. Experience with Jira or similar project management and ticketing systems is also necessary, demonstrating the ability to manage and track change requests efficiently. Candidates should have a proven track record of managing complex documentation and coordinating large-scale implementations successfully.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HealthRules Payer (HRP) or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with care management systems such as Guiding Care.

Responsibilities

The Business Analyst will be responsible for a variety of tasks to support the healthcare transformation project, including:

  • Gathering, reviewing, and validating product and benefit requirements across different project phases to ensure clarity and completeness.
  • Managing the Jira change request process, including intake, workflow tracking, and providing regular status updates to stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with Project Managers and Product Managers to ensure documentation is consistent, accurate, and aligns with project objectives.
  • Maintaining and updating Product and Benefits Functional Design Documents (FDDs) to reflect current requirements and changes.
  • Mapping requirements to relevant regulatory and contractual references to support compliance and audit readiness.
  • Assisting with testing activities, including reviewing test cases and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate product functionality and benefits.
