About The Role

The Content Strategist is a crucial, client-facing role that is responsible for day-to-day client deliverables, creating and managing custom client strategies, and communicating both with clients and internal stakeholders. The Strategist is responsible for more Enterprise clients and is expected to have a deep understanding of their service line and how it impacts other areas of business to create a holistic marketing strategy.

Please note: internally, this role is titled Account Strategist, Content & SEO.

What You'll Do

  • Strategic Excellence and Best Practices: Create custom strategies and implement best practices that result in achieving our NSMs. Use project phases, marketing goals, and historical performance to optimize strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with your Associate Director (AsD) to navigate roadblocks and ensure goal attainment.
  • Creative Execution: Craft creative briefs and compelling content campaigns based on competitor and audience insights.
  • Goal Setting: Use data from Google Analytics, CRM, SEMRush, and Ahrefs to set client goals, subject to AsD approval.
  • Project Management: Ensure strategy execution using Asana. Delegate tasks to specialists and collaborate with content writers and designers to meet quality standards and deadlines.
  • Communication: Serve as the main interface between clients and the team. Build strong relationships, communicate proactively regarding timelines and progress, and keep internal leadership informed of account growth opportunities or changes.
  • Reporting: Deliver bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and bi-annual business reviews to clients.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven track record in SEO principles and content strategy (keyword research, on-page optimization, link building).
  • Analytical insight using tools like Google Analytics.
  • Strong communication skills with experience in client-facing roles.
  • Familiarity with industry tools: Google Search Console, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for digital marketing, SEO, and Content.
  • Must have agency experience.
  • Must have B2B tech and/or SaaS experience.
  • Driven to stay ahead of industry trends, including AI and automation.

  • Proactive focus on upsells, cross-sells, and referrals.

  • Compensation: Competitive base salary in the $75,000-95,000 USD range, commensurate with experience and geography.
