About Dulcedo

What sets Dulcedo apart is that for us, talent management isn't about numbers, but about strategy, structure, and long-term vision. We are a full-service talent management agency specializing in representing creators, influencers, athletes, models, and entertainment talent. Our mission: to build real brands around our talent, support their sustainable growth, and offer premium service to the brands they collaborate with. We believe in solid processes, a structured approach to recruitment, and thoughtful growth, far beyond short-term wins.

Today, Dulcedo is the largest multidisciplinary talent management group in Canada and a leader in North America. We manage the international careers of over 500 models, hundreds of Olympic and professional athletes, as well as leading content creators, influencers, and streamers. With offices in Montreal and Toronto, and an international network, Dulcedo has become a key player in the entertainment and creative industry.

Within Dulcedo's values and recruitment process lies a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our current staff reflects the diversity of ethnic backgrounds, races, gender identities, sexual orientations, abilities, and lived experiences. Our ongoing mission is to recruit, support, and develop talent in a way that ensures equal opportunities for all candidates.

But above all, Dulcedo is a community. A team of ambitious, caring, and committed individuals who work hard without ever taking themselves too seriously. Certified Great Place to Work for two consecutive years, we place culture, fun, and purpose at the heart of our work environment.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an HR Business Partner to support our team and act as a trusted HR partner to managers and staff. In this role, you will be responsible for all HR aspects, with a strong focus on employee relations, manager coaching, performance, sensitive situations, change management, and HR operational efficiency.

You will work closely with our HR Manager, to whom you will report directly, while overseeing a small team. We are therefore looking for someone who can be very hands-on, provide strong advisory support, and be structured enough to move projects forward autonomously.

This is a key role for someone who enjoys being close to the business, influencing managers, handling concrete human issues, and contributing to building a solid HR function in a growing environment!

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary HR partner for a portfolio of several teams, aligning HR practices with business needs.
  • Provide daily coaching to managers on topics such as performance management, difficult feedback, team dynamics, engagement, accountability, and conflict management.
  • Handle employee relations files from start to finish: analysis, recommendations, documentation, meetings, action plans, and follow-ups.
  • Advise managers on best approaches for disciplinary measures, performance improvement plans, internal investigations, sensitive situation management, and crisis management.
  • Support and lead key HR cycles for your scope: performance reviews, calibrations, salary reviews, internal movements, onboarding, offboarding, etc.
  • Assist managers in contexts of organizational change, role clarification, team restructuring, or scope adjustments.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop a small HR team of 1-2 people (Advisor / Coordinator), ensuring quality, rigor, prioritization, and development.
  • Collaborate with our HR Manager on cross-functional issues, team priorities, continuous improvement of practices, and structuring the HR function.
  • Ensure the proper execution of HR operations within your scope, including follow-ups, documentation, coordination, and service quality.

Your Profile

  • Approximately 7 to 9 years of HR experience, with significant experience in employee relations, manager coaching, and advisory roles.
  • Experience in a role such as HRBP, Senior HR Advisor, People Partner, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage an HR scope with autonomy, judgment, and credibility.
  • Very strong advisory posture: capable of challenging, recommending, influencing, and guiding with tact and confidence.
  • Excellent command of employment laws and practices, particularly in Quebec, with a good understanding of the Canadian and ideally North American context.
  • Experience managing sensitive situations, performance, disciplinary issues, conflicts, internal investigations, or complex files.
  • Experience in coaching/supervising a small team or, at the very least, strong potential and interest in this responsibility.
  • Strong organizational skills, documentary rigor, good follow-up, and strong prioritization ability.
  • Comfortable in a growing, fast-paced environment with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • Bilingual French/English required.
  • CHRP: a strong asset.

Above All, You Consider Yourself:

  • A very hands-on person, but with enough perspective to play a true partner role.
  • Someone who enjoys both supporting managers and handling more delicate files with calm and judgment.
  • A profile that doesn't just want to execute, but wants to take ownership of their HR scope.
  • A structured, credible, human-centered individual capable of bringing stability to an evolving environment.

Life at Dulcedo!

  • Unlimited Paid Vacation: Yes, really. Enjoy a true work-life balance with the freedom to take the time you need, when you need it!
  • 12 Personal Days Per Year: A day off each month to rest, recharge, or simply take a breather.
  • Flexible Work Environment: Minimal office presence for those living near one of our hubs, allowing you to easily adjust your schedule.
  • Offices in Montreal & Toronto: Snacks, amazing atmosphere, and pet-friendly spaces. What more could you ask for?
  • Remote Work: Perfect for travelers, expats, or digital nomads who want to advance their careers without being tied to one location.
  • Freestyle Fridays: We finish at 2 PM AND every Friday. Long weekends... every week.
  • Comprehensive Insurance: Dental, vision, and medical coverage for you and your loved ones.
  • Professional Growth: Real opportunities for internal advancement in a growing company where "sky's the limit" isn't just an expression.
  • The Best of Both Worlds: The energy of a startup with over 15 years of experience and the stability of a well-established organization.

As an equal opportunity employer, we are committed to ensuring everyone feels included, supported, and valued. If you require special accommodations during the application process, please email us at [email protected] and we will adapt the process to your needs.
