Job Overview
We're looking for a creative, detail-oriented Video Editor to lead post-production on short and long-form content. The ideal candidate brings a strong creative eye and knows how to elevate raw footage into visually striking, story-driven video. This is a project-based, contract role.
Responsibilities
- Source and integrate supporting media --- stock footage, b-roll, music, sound effects, and AI-generated visuals where appropriate
- Add motion graphics, text overlays, and on-screen typography in a visually striking, balanced way
- Color grade and audio-balance for a cohesive, premium feel across every deliverable
- Write short, engaging captions or on-screen copy that complement the visual tone
- Incorporate feedback quickly across revision rounds and maintain brand consistency
- Be available for quick-turnaround edits
Ideal Candidate
- Strong instincts for pacing, composition, color, and typography in video
- Proficient in Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut Pro
- Comfortable experimenting with AI video and image tools
- Skilled at sound design and music selection that elevates the cut
- Excellent communication and time management --- responsive, reliable, flexible under tight deadlines
- Portfolio or reel demonstrating short and long-form video editing work
