About Elavi

Elavi is a high-growth, venture-backed CPG snack brand sold at Costco, Whole Foods, Amazon, Thrive Market, HEB, Life Time Fitness, and 1000 retail doors nationwide. We're looking for someone who is data-obsessive, lives in dashboards, holds agencies accountable, moves fast, and is extremely competitive - someone who will stop at nothing to win.

The Role

You will own Elavi's entire digital growth function: performance marketing, Amazon, lifecycle/retention, retail media, affiliate, and influencer. You set the strategy, manage the agencies and vendors who execute alongside you, and you are accountable for the results.

This is a player-coach role. You are just as comfortable jumping into Shopify to pull a report, digging into GA to answer a question, or building an Instacart campaign from scratch as you are setting quarterly growth targets and presenting to leadership. If something needs to get done, you do it. You don't wait for someone else.

The right person has real ad buying experience and uses it to push agencies to perform at a higher level. You understand lifecycle and retention marketing deeply enough to direct the strategy, not just review the reports. You track spend and sales across every channel, you know exactly where we are profitable and where we are not (and by how much), and you care about margin as much as top-line growth. You live in dashboards, you benchmark obsessively, and when something is underperforming, you surface it early with a plan to fix it.

This role is fully remote and starts as a part-time contractor for 30 days to ensure a strong fit, then transitions to full-time. You report directly to the Founder/CEO.

Scope of Responsibilities

Performance/Lifecycle Marketing Agency Management

  • Set the growth strategy across Meta and TikTok and manage the agencies responsible for execution. You know what strong ROAS looks like because you have been in the ad account yourself.
  • Own the Amazon channel through our agency: advertising strategy, TACOS targets, listing optimization, and revenue growth
  • Own the lifecycle email/SMS agency relationship. Set clear KPIs, hold them to established metrics, flag underperformance early, and push for both profitability and growth. Agencies over-promise and under-deliver. Your job is to make sure ours doesn't

Analytics & Profitability

  • Benchmark conversion rate, AOV, LTV, CAC, and ROAS against best-in-class DTC brands. Identify gaps and close them
  • Track spend and sales across every channel. Know exactly where we are profitable, where we are not, and by how much. Flag gaps early and present a plan to close them
  • Track performance across all channels with the kind of attention to detail where nothing slips through

Retail Media & Marketplace

  • Set up and optimize Instacart and Ibotta campaigns
  • Manage Thrive Market channel performance

Affiliate & Influencer

  • Build our affiliate/ambassador program from scratch using Social Snowball, set aggressive KPIs, and manage the community manager already in place

Ad Hoc Projects

  • Take on ad hoc projects related to digital growth as they come up. Whether it's researching a new platform, standing up a landing page, pulling together a competitive analysis, or testing a new channel, you take ownership and execute quickly without needing to be told how

Team Communication

  • Manage and grow the team (one community manager today, with future hires as we scale)
  • Communicate proactively: surface what is working, what is not, and what you are doing about it. No surprises

Who You Are

  • 7-10 years in digital growth, performance marketing, and e-commerce at a DTC or CPG brand
  • Hands-on ad buying experience across Meta and/or TikTok. You have been in the ad account, you understand campaign structure and creative testing, and you use that experience to get more from agencies
  • Deep knowledge of lifecycle/retention marketing: flow architecture, segmentation, deliverability, revenue attribution. This is a core skill, not a checkbox
  • Financially sharp. You track spend and revenue by channel, you understand unit economics and contribution margins, and you make growth decisions with profitability in mind
  • Experience managing Amazon advertising and familiarity with TACOS, keyword strategy, and listing optimization
  • Experience with Instacart and ideally Ibotta campaign management
  • You have built or scaled an affiliate/ambassador program
  • Scrappy and resourceful. You will jump into Shopify, GA, or any platform to pull data, troubleshoot, or get something done rather than waiting on someone else
  • You have managed agencies and vendors and you know how to get the best out of them
  • Extremely competitive with an insatiable drive to win
  • Experience managing and building a team

Compensation

  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
  • Part-time contractor for 30 days, transitioning to full-time after confirmed fit
