- Junior UX Designer
JOB SUMMARY
Electric Jelly is a design studio based in Orlando, FL specializing in themed experiences and digital design. We are looking for a part-time Junior UX Designer to join us for a 3-month contract with potential to extend. The Junior UX Designer will report directly to the Lead Experience Designer. This role helps create intuitive experiences across web, app and other digital and branded products. This role may be expected to work on multiple products with various clients. The role assists with design execution from concept support through production-ready deliverables. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with Figma, a self-starter mentality and be ready to learn quickly.
COMPENSATION
This role is a part-time (10 hours per week), 3 month contract starting immediately. The candidate shall be compensated $25/hour for the duration of the contract.
LOCATION
This is a fully remote role with flexible hours working on Eastern Standard Time. Preference will be given to candidates in the Orlando, FL area.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity working with Figma including design systems and libraries.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator and Photoshop.
- A portfolio demonstrating both visual expertise including typography, layout and / or other graphic design and UX design thinking including thoughtful user interactions and / or data driven design.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own various UX/UI tasks, including wireframes, mockups and production assets
- Assist in developing brand systems for new products including color palette, typography and icon library.
- Support research synthesis, competitive reviews, content mapping, and design iterations to help the team create clear, user-centered solutions.
- Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure smooth hand off of assets and perform quality assurance to ensure design intent is met in live product.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- Obtained or pursuing Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interactive Design, Experience Design or other related field preferred.
