About the Role

The AI Transformation Intern is the first dedicated hire supporting a new AI Transformation function within the Finance organization. This function is chartered to identify high-impact workflows across Finance and partnered corporate functions to build AI-enabled solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.

This is an applied AI role, not an exploratory one. You will work alongside the AI Transformation lead to interview stakeholders, translate pain points into AI-assisted solutions, and ship working tools. The role blends business analyst skills with hands-on building using tools like Claude Enterprise, Claude Desktop, Claude Code, and VS Code.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand recurring workflows and identify candidates for AI-assisted automation.
  • Translate stakeholder problems into working solutions using AI development tools (prompts, scripts, and lightweight applications) with a bias toward shipping.
  • Build and iterate on AI-powered workflows that reduce manual effort and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Develop sound prompt-engineering practices, including system prompts, chained reasoning, and output validation.
  • Apply a cost-conscious and security-conscious mindset to AI usage.
  • Document workflows, decisions, and reusable patterns.
  • Support ad-hoc analytical and data work in Excel, Python, or SQL.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor's or Master's program in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience using generative AI tools to build, automate, or ship workflows, scripts, or applications.
  • Strong Excel fluency (formulas, pivots, structured data).
  • Comfort working in a code editor (VS Code) and reading scripts in Python or JavaScript.
  • Working business literacy (revenue, margin, cost, cycle time).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Claude Desktop, Claude Code, or equivalent agentic AI environments.
  • Experience with advanced prompt engineering (system prompts, chaining, structured outputs).
  • Familiarity with LLM API usage patterns and secrets management.
  • Experience using GitHub or version control systems.
  • Ability to write or modify Python or SQL.
  • Interest in Finance, Procurement, or Sales Operations workflows.

Compensation: A good faith estimate of the pay scale is $41,500 to $63,000 annually, plus potential bonus and equity grants.
