Senior Mainframe Developer

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, IMS DB/DC, DB2, MQ and VSAM.
  • Utilize Netron Frame technology.
  • Manage enterprise-level ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Service Manager, etc.) and their operational workflows.
  • Work on waterfall and agile methodology projects; handle incidents, service requests, and change requests simultaneously.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and resolution for complex application and integration issues.
  • Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Mainframe applications and database queries.
  • Develop technical documentation (Knowledge Base articles, SOPs) for business and support teams.
  • Understand functional and technical requirements to provide implementation/change options aligned with business needs.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in mainframe application development, support, and maintenance.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, IMS DC/DB, MQ, VSAM, and Netron Frame Technology. Strong understanding of SDLC, version control systems, and development tools.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation

The good faith estimate for this role is $102,000 to $148,000 annually. Placement varies based on skills, experience, internal equity, and business needs. Includes eligibility for an annual bonus plan and equity grant.
