Role Overview

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mainframe Developer with 8 years of specialized technical experience to support, maintain, and enhance a suite of mainframe applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in various mainframe technologies, middleware, databases, and DevOps practices, with a strong understanding of enterprise application support. You will act as a technical lead, responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and supporting critical mainframe applications while guiding junior team members.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.
  • Experience in enterprise-level ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Service Manager, etc.) and their operational workflows.
  • Worked on waterfall and agile methodology projects; capable of handling incidents, service requests, and change requests simultaneously.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and resolution for complex application and integration.
  • Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Mainframe applications and database queries.
  • Develop technical documentation (Knowledge Base articles, SOPs) for business and support teams.
  • Understand both functional and technical requirements and provide implementation/change options aligned with business needs.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in mainframe application development, support, and maintenance.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM. Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies. Experience with version control systems and software development tools.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this role is $106,000 to $152,000 annually based on a full-time schedule. In addition to base salary, other compensation programs include an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance and an equity grant under our Associate Equity Appreciation Program.
