The Team You'll Join

You will join a high-impact, growth-focused Sales organization responsible for managing and expanding Envestnet's most strategic RIA and Home Office (HO) relationships. This team operates at the center of Envestnet's client engagement model, partnering closely with Financial Advisor (FA) Sales, Product, Marketing, and Client Success to deliver coordinated, enterprise-wide solutions. As a Strategic Relationship Management Principal Director, you will work alongside a collaborative group of relationship leaders and subject matter experts, all focused on driving client outcomes, accelerating managed account growth, and deepening the firm's footprint across key accounts. The team is fast-paced, highly visible, and deeply aligned to Envestnet's strategy of delivering holistic, data-driven wealth management solutions to clients.

How You'll Contribute

The Strategic Relationship Management Principal Director will focus on deepening and expanding relationships with key RIA, and Home Office (HO) clients. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will help clients grow their businesses and maximize success by aligning their strategic goals with the full power of Envestnet's ecosystem. This highly visible role requires a consultative, client-centric approach with proven expertise in strategic sales, national account management, and executive relationship leadership.

  • Strategically engage with Home Office (HO) clients to drive holistic account management with end-to-end revenue ownership.
  • Partner closely with Financial Advisor (FA) sales teams to execute a collaborative go-to-market (GTM) strategy that systematically drives key sales plays.
  • Orchestrate seamless execution with internal stakeholders to unlock cross-sell opportunities with specialists and convert advisor engagement into managed account flows.
  • Partner with HO leadership on incentive alignment, pricing strategies and sales enablement support to drive adoption.
  • Act as the primary HO account leader collaborating with Envestnet teams, HO stakeholders, and premier partner resources to drive managed account (MA) flows.
  • Serve as a key connection point for FA sales, sharing HO-provided advisor data and guiding FA focus where needed.
  • Align with HOs on coordinated activation strategies to "warm up" leads through marketing campaigns, training, and warm introductions.
  • Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with senior executives at client organizations.
  • Facilitate 8--12 client meetings each quarter (leadership sessions, due diligence reviews, QBRs) with clear, actionable outcomes and measurable results.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to deliver insights on market outlooks, industry trends, business strategies, and product solutions.
  • Leverage Salesforce to manage relationship data, opportunity pipelines, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Work with internal legal and executive teams to manage contract renewals, pricing, and compliance.
  • Oversee client participation in conferences, including negotiations, outreach, and post-event follow-ups.

What You'll Need to Bring

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 15+ years of experience in financial services, with at least 15 years in relationship management and strategic sales.
  • Proven expertise engaging with independent RIAs and HO clients, including direct experience working with C-suite executives.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex client relationships, anticipating issues, and delivering consultative solutions.
  • Strong background in financial business analysis or consulting, with a track record of driving growth and adoption.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at senior levels.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and project management abilities.
  • Familiarity with Envestnet's wealth technology platforms is a plus.
  • Travel required: 50--75%.
