[Remote] Senior Full Stack Developer

Note: This is a remote position open to candidates located in the USA.

ERG is a research and consulting firm providing support to federal, state, and commercial clients. We are seeking experienced full-stack developers to join our digital solutions team to develop enterprise-scale software applications and implement system enhancements that support federal policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise-scale software applications as part of a multidisciplinary team to support federal policies and regulations protecting human health and the environment.
• Implement system enhancements based on requirements from subject matter experts.
• Migrate legacy applications to modern technology stacks and cloud-based environments.
• Assess and advise on technology options for application components.
• Assist in integrating applications with agency shared services (e.g., authentication, data exchange).
• Complete tasks within an agile framework, support development sprints, and use tools like Jira and Confluence for tracking and documentation.
• Adhere to rigorous security best practices, maintain high coding standards, and follow meticulous deployment procedures.
• Participate in agile/scrum team ceremonies and client status meetings.

Skills

• BA/BS (or minor) in Digital and Computational Studies, Computer Science, or a related field (e.g., mathematics, science, engineering).
• 8-10 years of experience in front-end, back-end, and database development.
• Experience with modern frameworks such as React/Redux, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Proficient in Node.js and common Node frameworks.
• Proficient in database development, especially PostgreSQL.
• Experience with ORM frameworks like Hibernate, Entity Framework, or TypeORM.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Cloud.gov.
• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
• Comfortable working in an Agile environment.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket Pipelines).
• Passion for architecting complex solutions and interest in emerging technologies like AI.
• Curiosity, continuous learning mindset, and ability to mentor teammates.
