ML Researcher --- Exea Labs

About Exea Labs
Exea Labs is an AMD-backed program that gives high school students direct access to GPU clusters to train machine learning models. The goal is to get students doing actual research, not just reading about it.
Programs like Algoverse charge upwards of $7,000 for similar ML research experience. Exea Labs provides that same caliber of opportunity completely free, making serious research accessible to students regardless of financial background.
The Role
We are looking for high school students who are genuinely curious about machine learning and want to work on something meaningful. Researchers propose their own projects, gain access to AMD GPU infrastructure, and run their own experiments. Focus areas are open, including computer vision, NLP, reinforcement learning, and more.
This is not a structured course. Researchers drive their own work, and Exea Labs provides the resources and support to help them do it well.
What You Will Be Doing
- Proposing and leading an original ML project from start to finish
- Training models on real AMD GPU clusters using ROCm
- Documenting progress and iterating based on results
- Sharing findings with the Exea Labs research community
Who This Is For
High school students with foundational knowledge in machine learning, or a strong drive to develop it, who are capable of working independently in a remote setting. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on research experience beyond what traditional academics offer, at no cost.
College students with prior ML research experience are welcome to apply in a mentor capacity.
