About The Role

The Innova Solutions client is actively seeking a skilled AI/ML Cloud Engineer to join their dynamic team on a contract or full-time basis for an initial duration of 12 months. This role is based in Bloomfield, CT, with a hybrid work model combining remote and on-site work.

As an AI/ML Cloud Engineer, you will be instrumental in supporting and enhancing the company's AI and machine learning infrastructure, ensuring seamless deployment, management, and optimization of cloud-based AI/ML solutions. You will work closely with data science, DevOps, and engineering teams to develop scalable, secure, and efficient cloud environments on AWS and Azure platforms. Your expertise will directly impact the company's ability to innovate and deliver cutting-edge AI solutions to clients, making this a pivotal role within the organization.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cloud engineering, specifically supporting AI and ML workloads. They should have extensive hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure, including managing compute resources such as EC2 instances, Azure Virtual Machines, GPU-based instances, and Kubernetes clusters.

Proficiency in Linux administration and scripting languages like Python, Bash, and PowerShell is essential. Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, along with orchestration platforms like EKS and AKS, is required. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation, as well as monitoring and performance optimization tools like CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Datadog, and Prometheus, is also necessary.

Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of security best practices, including IAM/RBAC, encryption, and network security, and be capable of supporting compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure supporting AI/ML workloads on AWS and Azure platforms.
  • Manage compute resources, including EC2, Azure Virtual Machines, GPU instances, and Kubernetes clusters, ensuring optimal performance and cost efficiency.
  • Provision and configure storage, networking, and security services necessary for AI platforms and data pipelines.
  • Deploy and maintain AI/ML services such as Amazon SageMaker and Azure Machine Learning, ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Support data scientists and ML engineers by providing optimized environments for model training, testing, and deployment.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM/Bicep templates to automate infrastructure provisioning.
  • Automate processes related to provisioning, scaling, patching, and updating cloud environments to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, and AKS, ensuring seamless orchestration and deployment pipelines.
  • Monitor system performance and health using tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Datadog, and Prometheus, and implement necessary optimizations.
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and GPU utilization, continuously seeking improvements.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption standards, and network security measures.
  • Ensure all cloud activities comply with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
  • Integrate AI/ML infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines to facilitate automated deployment and continuous integration processes.
