Must have:
- We require a bachelors degree plus 6 years of experience in software application development and maintenance, or a high school diploma/GED plus 10 years of related experience.
- We prefer an Appian Certified Lead Developer credential.
- We value extensive hands-on experience building enterprise applications on the Appian platform.
- We look for strong expertise in SAIL, Records, Process Models, Process Reports, Integration Objects, Decision Rules, Web APIs, Plug-ins, and Appian Data Fabric.

- We value experience with Appian Sites, Portals, Connected Systems, Document Management, and Security Models.

- We value strong SQL knowledge and database design experience.
- We prefer experience with Java, JavaScript, and custom Appian Plug-in development.

Responsibilities:
- We lead the design, development, deployment, and support of enterprise Appian applications.
- We serve as the technical lead for Appian delivery teams, providing day-to-day direction and code leadership.
- We design scalable process models, interfaces, records, reports, integrations, and reusable components using Appian best practices.
- We build complex Appian solutions using SAIL, Records, Process Models, Expression Rules, Decision Rules, Integration Objects, Connected Systems, Plug-ins, and Web APIs.
- We create and maintain integrations with REST, SOAP, databases, MQ, and enterprise systems.
- We perform code reviews and uphold development standards, security requirements, and Appian best practices.
- We troubleshoot complex production issues and deliver root cause analysis with long-term remediation.
- We lead release management activities, including CI/CD, deployment automation, and environment management.
- We collaborate with solution architects, business analysts, infrastructure, and security teams throughout delivery.
- We mentor Appian developers and establish development standards across multiple delivery teams.
- We participate in architecture reviews, estimation, technical planning, and solution design.
- We support production applications through defect resolution, performance tuning, and platform optimization.

We are hiring for a remote role that may be based in several markets across the United States. This position is with First Citizens Bank and offers a competitive total rewards package, including benefits designed to support our associates. For candidates hired in North Carolina, the base pay is generally between $130,109 and $160,000, with final starting pay determined by skills, experience, location, and other lawful factors. The posting may remain open for up to 45 days from the initial posting date, though it may close sooner based on business needs or application volume.
