Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead performance testing initiatives, providing mentorship and guidance to team members
  • Create and execute detailed performance testing plans
  • Analyze testing outcomes to pinpoint performance challenges and recommend optimization strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive performance enhancements
  • Update and refine performance testing scripts and tools
  • Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis on performance slowdowns
  • Conduct thorough performance test analysis, including thread level, garbage collection, heap dump, and thread dump analyses
  • Identify failures and deliver practical recommendations for performance tuning
  • Anticipate potential challenges and propose solutions to foster continuous improvement in performance engineering practices
  • Develop and implement strategies and frameworks for performance testing
  • Work alongside stakeholders to establish performance requirements and objectives
  • Collaborate with US teams, cross-POD tech leads, and global stakeholders to synchronize performance targets
  • Partner closely with product and development teams to capture non-functional requirements (NFRs) from business needs, ensuring they influence design and development phases

Requirements:

Must have:

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field with 6 years of experience in systems engineering or programming
  • Alternatively, a High School Diploma or GED with 10 years of experience in systems engineering or programming
  • Strong understanding of performance testing principles
  • Proficiency in performance testing tools such as Neoload, Load Runner, or JMeter
  • In-depth analytical capabilities and the ability to perform diagnostics beyond tool execution
  • Expertise in heap dump analysis
  • Proficient in programming and scripting languages like Java or Python
  • Comprehensive knowledge of system architecture, databases, and network protocols
  • Experience with performance tuning techniques
  • Strong business acumen regarding financial systems, with a preference for digital banking platform experience
  • Remarkable problem-solving skills and detail orientation
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and collaborative skills
