Must have:

Responsibilities:
- We serve as the enterprise technical architect for Appian solutions across multiple business areas.
- We design end-to-end architecture for highly complex Appian implementations.
- We lead architecture reviews and define enterprise development standards, governance, and best practices.
- We create reusable frameworks, shared components, integration patterns, security models, and architecture standards.
- We develop advanced Appian components and stay hands-on with critical technical implementations.
- We architect enterprise integrations using REST APIs, SOAP, event-driven architecture, MQ, Kafka, databases, and cloud services.
- We define scalability, performance tuning, disaster recovery, monitoring, and operational standards for the platform.
- We lead technical assessments, modernization efforts, migration work, and platform upgrades.
- We partner with Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, and DevOps to deliver compliant solutions.
- We provide technical direction during production incidents, architecture reviews, and major platform programs.
- We mentor senior developers and technical leads while promoting engineering excellence across Appian teams.
- We evaluate new Appian capabilities, AI features, platform enhancements, and emerging technologies for enterprise use.
- We contribute to enterprise roadmap planning, technology strategy, estimation, vendor discussions, and executive technical conversations.

We are a bank offering a remote opportunity that may be based in several markets across the United States. This role is a hands-on Appian technical architect position where we shape enterprise application architecture, technical strategy, governance, and solution design for complex business initiatives. We partner closely with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, security, and business leaders to establish Appian standards, reusable frameworks, integration strategies, and platform roadmaps. We offer competitive compensation, with North Carolina base pay generally ranging from $130,109 to $170,000 depending on skills, experience, location, and other lawful factors, and total rewards may include incentives, bonuses, benefits, and other awards.
