We are partnering with a fast-growing agency that helps CPG brands drive growth through retail media, shopper marketing, and omnichannel commerce strategies. This leadership role will oversee both strategic client partnerships and internal team management, helping drive integrated retail media and shopper marketing programs across major retail platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Own omnichannel growth strategy across retail media and shopper marketing initiatives for a portfolio of CPG clients.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 6 Account Managers and Associates, providing strategic guidance and career development support.
- Serve as the senior strategic lead across assigned client accounts and business portfolios.
- Guide teams on platform strategy and best practices across Instacart, Walmart Connect, Kroger Precision Marketing, Target/Roundel, Amazon DSP, DoorDash, Criteo, CitrusAd/Epsilon, and related retail media platforms.
- Build and maintain senior-level client relationships, acting as a trusted strategic advisor to brand and marketing leadership teams.
- Ensure retail media, digital commerce, and in-store shopper marketing efforts work cohesively to drive measurable business impact.
- Oversee forecasting, pricing, scoping, profitability, reporting, budget allocation, and margin management across accounts.
- Provide hands-on support to teams when needed while maintaining a primary focus on leadership, strategy, and client oversight.
- Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to support agency growth, operational excellence, and client retention.
Candidate Profile
- 6+ years of experience in retail media, shopper marketing, omnichannel marketing, eCommerce, or related CPG agency/client services environments.
- 3--5+ years of people management experience leading high-performing client-facing teams.
- Strong working knowledge of major retail media platforms including Kroger, Walmart Connect, Roundel, Instacart, Amazon DSP, DoorDash, Criteo, and Citrus/Epsilon.
- Proven ability to lead strategic client relationships and communicate effectively with senior and executive stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving agency environment with shifting priorities and growing client needs.
- Experience supporting emerging, natural, wellness, or Better For You CPG brands strongly preferred.
- Agency experience preferred; strong brand-side candidates with hands-on retail media expertise may also be considered.
