A rapidly scaling direct-to-consumer brand is seeking a performance-driven leader to drive new customer growth and revenue through paid marketing channels. This role will oversee end-to-end acquisition strategy, including channel planning, budget management, creative direction, and ongoing optimization. This is a hybrid working model in the South Bay of Los Angeles.

The ideal candidate blends strong analytical thinking with creative instincts, and has a track record of scaling acquisition programs in a measurable, efficient way. This person should be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with a strong emphasis on testing and iteration.

Key Responsibilities

Growth Strategy & Channel Ownership

  • Lead customer acquisition efforts across a range of paid digital channels (e.g., social, search, partnerships, and emerging platforms)
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive growth plan focused on acquiring new customers and increasing revenue
  • Allocate and manage marketing spend with a focus on efficiency and return metrics
  • Regularly assess channel performance and optimize the mix to improve results

Performance Management & Insights

  • Define and monitor key performance indicators across the funnel (e.g., acquisition cost, return metrics, conversion rates, customer value)
  • Build forecasts and models to guide investment decisions and growth expectations
  • Translate campaign data into actionable insights to inform strategy
  • Partner with internal teams to enhance reporting accuracy and measurement approaches

Creative Strategy & Experimentation

  • Collaborate with creative partners to develop performance-driven marketing assets
  • Guide the testing roadmap across ads, landing pages, and user journeys
  • Use data to iterate on messaging, formats, and creative direction
  • Encourage a culture of continuous experimentation and learning

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with digital product and site teams to improve conversion and user experience
  • Align with lifecycle marketing partners to ensure a cohesive customer journey
  • Identify new opportunities for growth across channels and customer touchpoints

External Partner & Team Management

  • Oversee relationships with external vendors and agency partners across media, creative, and analytics

Candidate Background

  • 7 years of experience in performance marketing, growth, or customer acquisition within a consumer-facing business
  • Demonstrated success scaling paid media programs while maintaining efficiency
  • Strong foundation in direct response marketing and performance-oriented creative
  • Solid understanding of business economics related to customer acquisition and lifetime value
  • Experience managing significant media budgets across major digital platforms
  • Comfortable working with external partners and agencies
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with common analytics and ecommerce tools
  • Experience leading teams and collaborating across functions
  • Self-starter mindset with a focus on problem-solving and execution
