About the Role

FoundationCCC is seeking a temporary, part-time Program Officer to support the California Education Learning Laboratory (Learning Lab). This role is 100% remote within California and requires residency in California. The Learning Lab is a grant program focused on improving learning outcomes and closing equity gaps in higher education, particularly in STEM disciplines, by funding innovative, faculty-led projects that leverage technology and learning science.

Key Responsibilities

  • New RFP Development (15-20%): Conduct research, interviews, and serve as a primary point of contact for funding/sponsor/agency requirements.
  • Outreach and Communications (10-15%): Collaborate on strategic outreach, draft funding materials, and conduct webinars to promote applicant engagement.
  • RFP Oversight and Programmatic Alignment (55-65%): Manage the RFP process, utilize digital tracking systems, develop reports, present updates to funders, and support grantee onboarding.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of California's higher education systems, policies, research, and innovation.
  • Knowledge of workforce development, regional economic development policies, and state agency processes.
  • Experience developing funding opportunities and translating grantmaking goals for UC, CSU, and California Community Colleges.

What We Offer

  • Competitive hourly pay: $44.57 - $59.43
  • Pro-rated paid time off (PTO) and paid sick leave in accordance with California law.
  • Remote Workspace Setup reimbursement and/or Remote Work stipends for part-time employees.
  • This role is not eligible for FoundationCCC sponsored benefits or CalPERS retirement.
