Requirements
Must have:
- Bachelors or masters degree in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in data science, quantitative analysis, or risk modeling, ideally within financial services or other regulated environments.
- Strong hands-on experience building statistical and machine learning models, including regression, classification, anomaly detection, and clustering.
- Proficiency in Python and/or R, along with SQL experience for large-scale data analysis.
- Experience working with complex enterprise datasets and converting analytical findings into business decisions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting Insider Risk, Fraud, AML, Cybersecurity, UEBA, or Threat Analytics programs.
- Familiarity with identity and access data, endpoint telemetry, DLP, email, or collaboration monitoring.
- Experience with model explainability, governance, and validation in regulated settings.
- Knowledge of employee lifecycle risk, behavioral analytics, or human-centered risk modeling.
- Preference for candidates available to work directly as our employees for this contract role.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and continuously refine quantitative models, statistical techniques, and analytical frameworks to identify, evaluate, and rank insider risk across employees, contractors, vendors, and non-human identities.
- Partner closely with Cyber, HR, Legal, Compliance, Anti-Fraud, and Enterprise Information Protection teams.
- Transform complex enterprise data into defensible risk indicators, transparent scoring models, and executive-ready metrics.
- Support investigations, governance activities, and responses to regulatory scrutiny through clear and reliable analytics.
- Contribute to the advancement of our Insider Risk programs detection, scoring, and decisioning capabilities.
- Help centralize data in our Cybersecurity Data Lakehouse and support analytics around Insider Risk data to create a human risk score.

We are supporting a hybrid 6-month contract opportunity in Jersey City, NJ, with a major financial institution. Our Insider Risk team, working alongside our Information Security Data Operations group, is focused on centralizing cybersecurity data and strengthening our detection, scoring, and decision-making capabilities.
