At GoDaddy, the future of work looks different for each team. This is a remote position, so you'll be working from your home, with occasional visits to a GoDaddy office for events or meetings.
Note: This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands. GoDaddy is not currently considering candidates for this role in California, Seattle, or NYC.

Join a team that is redefining how compliance enables business success. In this role, you will partner across Finance, Engineering, Security, HR, and other functions to assess risk, evaluate controls, and deliver practical solutions that support both compliance and business objectives.
We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate how they have challenged conventional thinking, reimagined traditional approaches, and leveraged AI, automation, analytics, or other innovative solutions to drive meaningful improvements in risk, compliance, and business outcomes. As a trusted advisor, you will help modernize the compliance program by finding opportunities to automate processes, utilize AI, and improve the efficiency and scalability of controls.
What you'll get to do...
- Shape the future of assurance, risk, and compliance at GoDaddy by challenging legacy approaches, advancing innovative ways of working, and helping establish a model that others across the industry seek to emulate.
- Evaluate new and changing processes and systems to identify risks, strengthen control design, and help ensure scalable solutions are built with compliance in mind from the start.
- Challenge assumptions, IT testing approaches, and IT control strategies across the team by providing thoughtful review, constructive feedback, and recommendations that improve quality, consistency, and effectiveness.
- Partner with business, technology, and security teams to solve complex problems, navigate emerging risks, and influence decisions that strengthen the company's IT control environment while enabling innovation.
- Advance the use of automation, data, and emerging technologies to reimagine how testing, monitoring, documentation, and risk assessments are performed, allowing the team to focus more time on analysis and insights.
Your experience should include...
- 5 years of experience in SOX compliance, audit, or risk management.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, computer information systems or related field.
- Recent IT assurance background from a Big 4 Firm.
- Strong understanding of SOX 404 and internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO, COBIT).
- Experience working with IT and business partners to assess and improve control environments.
- Proven ability to challenge traditional approaches, drive continuous improvement, and leverage automation, analytics, AI, or other emerging technologies to deliver smarter, more scalable outcomes.

- CPA, CIA, CISA, or other relevant certifications.

Actual compensation and benefits eligibility will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
Compensation
The estimated pay ranges for this role are:
- Bay Area (Santa Clara, San Francisco) and Los Angeles: $123,500 - $185,500 USD
- Austin, D.C. Metro, CA (non-Bay Area), HI, IL, MA, NH, OR, VA, WA: $107,000 - $160,000 USD
- New York City Metro, Kirkland/Seattle: $113,200 - $169,800 USD
- All other US locations not previously listed: $95,000 - $143,000 USD
