Overview
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Business Analyst with a strong background in analytical and reporting requirements. This position is fully remote and located within the Continental United States.
Responsibilities
The analyst will apply their business analysis, requirements gathering, elicitation, elaboration, and refinement techniques to gather functional requirements from the client. They will learn legacy systems and interact with stakeholders to understand the business requirements of the future system. Key responsibilities include:
- Analyze business user needs and document them as epics, decomposing them into user stories and tasks for agile scrum teams.
- Analyze information system baselines and perform gap analysis.
- Analyze user needs to determine functional and cross-functional requirements.
- Elicit and document requirements from functional users and subject matter experts.
- Translate customer requirements into the Appian BPM product, supporting configuration and development.
- Develop and maintain standard systems requirement documents, including business process workflows, Functional Requirements Documents, Requirement Traceability Matrix, and use cases.
- Support application configuration and security setup.
- Implement complex enterprise system configurations and end-to-end development design.
- Create business process models and identify process improvements.
- Review and comment on proposed functional/capability configurations.
- Evaluate and provide feedback on system design documents, test plans, and artifacts.
- Define test scenarios and create test scripts for system and user acceptance testing.
- Manage multiple, dynamic priorities and meet deadlines.
- Communicate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Apply HCM knowledge and industry best practices to develop business processes.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline with 5 years of experience (or commensurate experience).
- Functional experience with BPM, Case management, process automation, and workflow management products.
- Five (5) years of experience, with at least three (3) years of specialized experience in task order requirements.
- 5–7 years of business analysis and requirements gathering skills across the SDLC.
- 3 years of functional experience in requirements analysis, design, implementation, test, and deployment of Appian or a similar product.
- Experience gathering requirements for reporting and analytics, including visualization.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor information for different audiences.
- Experience in creating user stories, use case diagrams, mockups, and process flow charts.
- Experience facilitating workshops, interviews, and JAD sessions.
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- 2 years of recent work experience on a software development project in a federal government setting.
- Previous expertise as a functional analyst for product implementation.
- 3 years of experience with the Agile Framework.
Clearance Required
The ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
Posted Salary Range
USD $81,850.00 - USD $105,000.00 /Yr.
