Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring a Communications Project Analyst to support the Patient Care Services product line within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Information and Technology (OIT). The Project Analyst plays a key role in supporting program delivery by centralizing intake, tracking, routing, and delivery of all product line data calls, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and on-time submission.

This is a fully remote position within the United States with core hours of operation from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM ET.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the official tracking log (JIRA) of all product line data calls; manage deadlines, extensions, risk flags, and escalation needs.
  • Standardize intake and ensure proper routing to the correct owners.
  • Validate inputs for completeness and accuracy; ensure responses conform to required format and guidance.
  • Coordinate cross-team collaboration for multi-stakeholder responses, including support for fast-turnaround data calls.
  • Prepare final consolidated data call submissions with clear audit artifacts.
  • Maintain repository of prior responses, templates, SOPs, and historical reference materials.
  • Support leadership reporting requirements by producing concise summaries and status updates.
  • Maintain project documentation (sprint boards, schedules, risk logs, status reports, meeting notes) within tools like Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
  • Arrange logistics for meetings, conferences, and training; record key decisions and action items.
  • Perform patch reports and submit to responsible parties.
  • Prepare and disseminate the Product Line monthly newsletter.
  • Enter monthly business metric data in VA PARS.
  • Perform quarterly TRM compliance audits.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Resource Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related fields with 5 years of experience (or commensurate experience).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to relay concise messaging to all levels of management.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience supporting the VA OIT, Veterans Benefits Administration, or Veterans Health Administration.
  • Proven VA or government agency IT development track record.
  • Ability to proactively communicate and coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders.

Salary

USD $85,000.00 - USD $90,000.00 /Yr.
