Job description

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and sustain the MECM infrastructure to assure consistent endpoint accessibility and system health throughout the organization.
  • Implement and track software packages, security updates, and essential patches to ensure all systems remain operational.
  • Execute and uphold task sequences for automated operating system deployments, prioritizing consistent imaging and hardware compatibility.
  • Maintain and operate dedicated test environments for verifying updates and application configurations before moving to production.
  • Execute daily patch management tasks, including the scheduling of deployments and troubleshooting failed installations.
  • Monitor and address endpoint compliance to ensure alignment with organizational security policies and federal regulations.
  • Conduct advanced troubleshooting concerning MECM client health, software distribution issues, and imaging errors.
  • Leverage PowerShell scripts to automate standard administrative functions and enhance endpoint management efficacy.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of system configurations, operational procedures, and daily maintenance logs.
  • Produce regular reports on deployment statuses, hardware inventory, and overall endpoint compliance.

Requirements

Must have:

  • High School diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent expertise.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+).
  • Practical experience in designing and managing MECM environments within large enterprises.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server platforms (2012--2025) and essential services such as Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.
  • Experience in Windows imaging, task sequences, and driver management.
  • Proficient in VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting abilities for automation and system administration.
  • Experience in creating and managing lab/test environments for testing and troubleshooting.
  • Expertise in overseeing patch cycles, update deployments, and compliance reporting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging in technical discussions and bridging requirements between stakeholders and engineering teams.
  • Active Secret Clearance (required).
