Overview

The Senior Technical Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the full software development lifecycle for assigned products within the low code/no code platform in support of the VA Office of Connected Care.

This position will be a fully remote position located within the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full software development process lifecycle for assigned product(s)
  • Facilitate strategy and prioritization discussions
  • Transform high-level vision into detailed action plans
  • Appian Subject Matter Expert
  • Build and maintain the product roadmap, ensuring prioritization aligns with customer needs, technical feasibility and stakeholder input
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, data, QA and operations teams to ensure product quality and delivery
  • Lead and/or support sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint review and retrospective sessions in partnership with the development team(s)
  • Ensure continuous communication across cross-functional teams to remove blockers, track progress, and maintain alignment
  • Partner with data teams to analyze product usage, optimize user experience, and define KPIs
  • Use Scrum Master experience or knowledge to foster agile best practices, improve team velocity and drive execution discipline
  • Consult and coordinate with experts and cross-disciplinary teams to conduct discovery and establish clear requirements that meet user needs
  • Manage multiple projects, to include planning, risk management and mitigation, training and communication, regular status reporting, and associated documentation
  • Lead and participate in dynamic meetings with cross-functional teams, orchestrating discussions and ensuring clear objectives are met
  • Conceptualize, analyze, and advise clients on solution options to achieve their objectives
  • Work closely with strategic delivery partners, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Coordinate efforts across numerous teams through frequent and effective communication

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's with 15 years (or commensurate experience)
  • At least 7 years of experience applying product and/or project management principles in a healthcare and/or technical environment
  • Experience managing a product or suite of products from requirements gathering through the testing and production release cycle
  • Experience building products or complex feature sets from the ground up
  • Excellent presentation skills, including building slide decks and effective communication with executive leadership
  • Strong in Agile Project Management methodologies and procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Agile Tools such as Jira
  • Bachelor's degree; Master's and/or applicable certifications (PMP, ITIL, SAFe Agile) preferred

Clearance Required

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Ability to articulate the difference between product and project management
  • Strong emotional intelligence to tailor communication across interdisciplinary teams
  • Prior experience working with or delivering solutions on the Appian platform

Salary Range

USD $200,000.00 - USD $218,000.00 /Yr.
