About the Role
GovCIO is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join a fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with manual testing in a federal government client environment. This customer-facing role is instrumental in ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with government contracting experience. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of hands-on experience, a strong understanding of Amazon Webservices (AWS), and Jira. Experience with X-ray is a plus.
- Develop, publish, and implement test plans for complex, multi-tier, distributed applications throughout the full lifecycle.
- Develop manual or automated testing systems using commercial tools, scripts, and data sets.
- Participate in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load, and system testing.
- Ensure the appropriate level of quality by resolving important defects, working with developers and/or engineers to ensure the software or hardware development process has an appropriate level of testing.
- Develop response strategies and processes for high-criticality and security vulnerability-related bug notifications.
- Pro-actively investigate and find potential security holes and attack vectors within both existing and newly developed code bases.
- Work within Agile/Scrum methodologies in iterative development cycles with cross-functional teams.
- Communicate effectively with federal clients, developers, and program managers.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field, or commensurate experience.
- 8+ years of experience.
- 4 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
- Experience with Jira, X-ray, and AWS.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, specifically Kanban.
Clearance Required:
- Must be able to obtain a DHS Public Trust.
- US Citizenship is required.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience in AWS.
Posted Salary Range:
USD $110,000.00 - USD $123,000.00 /Yr.
