Job Summary

GovCIO is seeking a Systems Administrator - Access Services to support critical access services including national Active Directory, multi-factor authentication, and remote access. This fully remote, US-based position requires a candidate adept at managing access requests, user authentication, and access control across various IT systems. You will play a key role in troubleshooting access issues, ensuring digital security, and collaborating with IT teams for timely resolutions. Escalation to the Tier 2 team and customer follow-up for verification are essential components of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve Active Directory issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Group Policies, DNS, TCP/IP, and NTFS.
  • Support the AD environment, ensuring the security, integrity, and availability of authentication, authorization, and LDAP services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve DUO Two Factor Authentication issues for both Desktop and VPN.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) using PIV-I technology.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve MFA using desktop and phishing-resistant authentication tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Remote Access Authentication (RAA) issues.
  • Document, review, update, or close tickets in the ITSM tool and identify opportunities for knowledge base articles.
  • Undertake other projects as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher in a related discipline, with 3 years of relevant experience (or commensurate experience).
    • Alternatively, 7 years of relevant experience if the educational requirement is not met.
  • Working technical knowledge of Microsoft OS and services in a multi-site topology, including:
    • Active Directory
    • Group Policies
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory architecture and infrastructure (LDAP, Directory Replication, security, schema changes, etc.).
  • Proficiency in using an ITSM tool for ticket creation and tracking.
  • Strong understanding of networking technologies and troubleshooting (DNS, HTTP(s), etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a structured team environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to manage competing work demands.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical issues to both non-technical and technical audiences.
  • Ability to work flexible hours (7am -- 6pm CT) and participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (0-4 times per year).

Preferred Qualifications

  • MCSA/MCSE Certification.
  • Experience with Quest Active Roles Server (ARS) and other Quest Products.
  • Working knowledge of PKI, digital certifications, and security tokens.
  • Experience with PowerShell or Visual Basic scripting.
  • Experience with Security Event and Privileged Access Management Solutions engineering.
  • Experience in security management, including auditing and user access control of databases.
  • Microsoft Server systems administration experience.
  • Knowledge of Remote Access Services such as Cisco Secure and Zscaler.
  • Cross-platform OS knowledge (Linux, Mac OS X, Windows).
  • Cross-platform mobile device knowledge (iOS/Android).
  • Understanding of ITIL best practices.

Clearance Required

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an AOUSC Public Trust clearance.

Salary Range

  • USD $65,000.00 - USD $80,000.00 per year.
