About the Role

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role focuses on expanding the company's market presence through lead generation, partnership development, and new client acquisition.

The Business Development Manager works closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to develop and execute growth strategies, strengthen pipelines, and support long-term business expansion.

This is a fully remote position; however, applicants must currently reside in the United States and be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Applications from individuals residing outside the United States will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities and strategic partnerships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve revenue targets
  • Generate and manage a pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams on campaigns and go-to-market initiatives
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations
  • Track and report on sales performance, pipeline activity, and revenue forecasts
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and client meetings
  • Support long-term account growth and customer retention strategies

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field
  • 4--7 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience managing sales pipelines and CRM systems
  • Ability to develop strategic growth plans and execute them effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in SaaS, technology, finance, or professional services industries
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho CRM
  • Experience with B2B sales and enterprise client management
  • Knowledge of contract negotiation and partnership development
  • Experience working in high-growth or startup environments
