Healthcare Provider Solutions is a growing healthcare company providing billing, financial, operational, educational, and clinical consulting to the home care and hospice industries. Our core services include home care & hospice billing and collections, receivable collection projects, clinical compliance chart reviews, operational reviews, and education through seminars and webinars. We are located in Nashville, TN, near the airport.
We are seeking a full-time professional to work on our Home Health Non-Medicare Posting. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of experience in Medicare Advantage and Commercial payer posting.
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Post payments received from Non-Medicare and other payers as required.
- Ability to post for multiple clients in multiple EMRs.
- Ability to read insurance contracts and validate payments accordingly.
- Perform write-off requests as assigned and approved.
- Post patient payments and generate self-pay invoices.
- Identify incorrectly paid and denied claims for the collections team.
- Adapt to change with ease.
- Critical review of all payments received using HPS tools.
- Review EOBs to identify payment errors, denials, and low reimbursement.
- Perform month-end reconciliations.
- Run and analyze payment logs for posting accuracy.
- Communicate with clients.
- Keep management informed of changes in billing requirements and denial codes.
- Participate in meetings with the Billing and Collections team.
- Fulfill additional performance responsibilities as assigned.
- Willing to adapt and learn other areas within the Revenue Cycle department.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of cash posting experience, preferably with Commercial or Non-Medicare payers.
- Able to identify issues with payer setup and accuracy of tracking expected payments based on contracts.
- Efficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.
- Ability to perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiar with takebacks and offset posting.
- Excellent communication skills for internal and customer interactions.
- Strong organizational skills to track workload.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Identify trends and carrier issues relating to reimbursement.
- Experience with multiple EMR systems.
- Experience obtaining Remits and EOBs in Waystar and other portals.
- Must be able to read, write, and follow directions in English.
- Knowledge of basic math skills.
- Proficient with phone systems, copiers/scanners, fax, and email.
- Must be able to sit for at least eight hours per day and work at a computer.
- High School Diploma.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly, 40 hours per week, full-time, non-exempt (M-F, 8 AM - 4:30 PM CST).
