Legal Assistant at Natalia Sishodia Law — A NY real estate attorney with a focused practice in residential transactions and estate planning.
Job summary
Work model
Natalia Sishodia is a New York-based real estate attorney with a focused practice in residential transactions and estate planning. She works closely with her clients as a trusted advisor and has built a lean, remote-first team that runs on trust, clear communication, and initiative.
She is growing, busy, and needs someone who can take tasks off her plate so she can stay focused on what only she can do. If you are sharp, self-driven, and ready to actually own your work, this is your role.
About the Role
We are looking for a remote Legal Assistant to support Natalia's day-to-day practice. You will handle the operational side—document coordination, client follow-ups, court and agency communication, and keeping the machine running smoothly. No US law degree required. What matters is that you are organized, fast, and do not need hand-holding.
What You Will Do
- Follow up with courts, the IRS, and third parties on case statuses and filings—via phone (US VoIP number provided).
- Coordinate real estate closings and transaction-related tasks.
- Organize and track documents, deadlines, and case files.
- Handle client communication via email and WhatsApp with professionalism.
- Support Natalia with scheduling, research, and whatever else comes up.
- Keep things moving without being asked twice.
What You Will Bring
- Some exposure to real estate—enough to understand the basics and not need a glossary for every task.
- Fluent English (written and spoken)—you will be communicating with clients and external parties daily.
- Comfortable making phone calls in English to US institutions (courts, agencies, etc.).
- Organized and detail-oriented—documents, deadlines, and follow-ups do not slip through.
- Independent thinker who takes ownership and figures things out.
Nice to Have
- Spanish or/and Russian languages.
- Familiarity with US real estate or legal terminology.
What We Offer
- Part-time to start (~20 hrs/week), with a clear path to full-time within 6 months.
- Remote work. You can be based almost anywhere—you just need a solid internet connection, a computer, and the ability to align with US Eastern Time.
- Direct access to an experienced NY attorney—real learning, real responsibility.
- Rate: $15/hour, paid in USD.
Working Hours
This is a remote position requiring overlap with US Eastern Time, approximately 10 AM–3 PM ET Monday–Friday.
