With a proven track record and a commitment to excellence, we're your trusted partner in the pursuit of career success. Our extensive network, personalized approach, and supportive guidance ensure that you're in the best hands to find your next job opportunity.

Position Overview

Our Client is a sophisticated real estate development and asset management firm specializing in high-end, multi-unit residential projects across the Northeastern United States. They are currently executing a ground-up development of eight luxury townhome units in Norwalk, Connecticut. They operate with professional project management frameworks and value tech-forward, high-organization structures.

The Role

Our Client is seeking an experienced, analytical, and highly organized Virtual Construction Project Manager to support the owner and general contractor throughout the entire project lifecycle. This is a 100% remote, administration- and coordination-focused position. The successful candidate will serve as the digital backbone of the job site, utilizing expert-level mastery of construction software to track project variance, coordinate procurement bids, map out critical-path schedules, and ensure this multi-phase development stays strictly on schedule and on budget.

Key Responsibilities

Buildertrend Platform Administration

  • Architectures and manages the complete, foundational setup of the multi-unit development within Buildertrend (scheduling, budget tracking, and file repositories).
  • Oversees the daily processing of construction administrative assets, including daily logs, RFIs (Requests for Information), change orders, and final punch lists.
  • Meticulously structures and maintains up-to-date project documents, engineering plans, municipal permits, and field photos in localized job folders.

Budget Control & Procurement Support

  • Monitors and tracks real-time project expenditures against the baseline approved development budget.
  • Administers the processing of purchase orders, subcontractor bids, and vendor invoices directly through the project management interface.
  • Builds and updates highly granular project cost trackers, generating clear financial variance reports for ownership.
  • Solicits, organizes, and reviews competitive subcontractor quotes across all major trades (excavation, framing, stormwater systems, utilities, and MEP).
  • Builds complex bid-leveling spreadsheets to compare incoming vendor proposals on a standardized, apples-to-apples basis.

Scheduling, Timelines & Reporting

  • Maintains the master construction schedule, actively flagging potential supply chain delays or critical-path sequencing risks.
  • Coordinates trade schedules to eliminate workspace overlaps, reducing field downtime and scheduling conflicts.
  • Prepares and distributes comprehensive weekly project status reports summarizing timeline updates, budget health, pending city inspections, and upcoming development milestones.
  • Tracks municipal permit applications and coordinates required inspection intervals through to the certificate of occupancy.

Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of verified professional experience in residential construction project management, construction administration, or digital project coordination.
  • Software Fluency: Expert-level, hands-on command of Buildertrend.
  • Technical Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of ground-up residential construction sequencing.
  • Analytical Tools: Advanced proficiency utilizing Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for building financial cost-trackers and bid-leveling matrices.
  • Language Integration: Elite written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Workplace Infrastructure: A highly professional, quiet home office setup with a reliable computer and a stable, high-speed internet connection.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior remote experience working directly with Northeast US-based developers, builders, or investment groups.
  • Foundational familiarity with municipal permitting structures, building codes, and inspection workflows within Connecticut or the broader New England region.
  • Direct background managing multi-unit townhome or residential development profiles.

Benefits

  • Stable Part-Time Income: Predictable and competitive monthly contractor compensation of $1,800 USD for a structured 5-hour daily commitment.
  • High-Level Strategic Impact: Take direct ownership of the operational data and logistics behind a major multi-million dollar real estate development asset.
  • 100% Remote Infrastructure: Collaborate directly with an active, hands-on real estate developer from the comfort of a dedicated home office.
